How the CollectedHQ blog is written, sourced, checked, and kept current.

What we cover

Everything that happens at a recruiting firm after a placement is made: recruiter commissions, invoicing and accounts receivable, getting paid faster, falloffs and guarantees, mid-office operations, contract staffing back office, and the integrations that connect an ATS to the money side. We write for owners and ops or finance leads at direct-hire and executive search firms with roughly 2 to 50 recruiters.

Who writes it

Every post is bylined to Eli Rubel, founder and CEO of CollectedHQ. Eli approves every piece before it goes live and can pull anything at any time. Drafting is assisted by software; the opinions, numbers, and final wording are Eli's.

How topics are chosen

We publish when we can add something that does not already exist: a stated opinion from experience, a benchmark figure, a worked calculation, a decision framework, or an edge case most guides skip. If a topic is already well covered and we have nothing new to add, we skip it.

Sourcing

Claims about how Collected works come from our own product documentation. Industry facts link to primary sources such as trade associations, government agencies, and vendor documentation. We do not invent anecdotes, quotes, customer stories, studies, or statistics. We never name a customer, recruiter, client, or candidate unless that person has already given a public testimonial on this site.

Benchmark data

Benchmarks published on this site are aggregate, anonymized statistics drawn from firms that use Collected. Every figure is calculated across a minimum cohort of ten firms; smaller cohorts are suppressed. We publish percentages, medians, and quartiles, never dollar totals, customer counts, or anything that could identify a single firm. Each benchmark states its period and the definition of the metric.

Competitors and partners

When we compare Collected to another tool, we only state what the other vendor's own public materials confirm. Applicant tracking systems are partners, not competitors, and we write about them accordingly.

Not advice

Nothing here is legal, tax, accounting, or employment-law advice. Where the law matters, we describe what firms commonly do and point you to the relevant authority.

Corrections and refreshes

If something is wrong, we fix it and note the change on the page. Posts are reviewed at least quarterly; refreshed posts show an updated date under the byline. Pages that become redundant are consolidated into the stronger page and redirected.
